THE ALARM CLOCK OF THE ARTIST
Here what I call a complete harmonicist, it plays of all the harmonicas to perfection: chromatics, diato (current), low, chord, slip - song. It of my ex-partner and regretted Emile MANZANO, who makes me think had the same talents, which allowed him, like Pierre? to record in superposition and to be able to only constitute with him, an orchestra. The more so as it also plays of the piano, of synthé, and over all, it composes. Who says better? It is a musician. He was also the pupil of Gerard MARGNOUX? who is not accustomed to joking with the music. I know something of it. I thus will quite simply take again his biography which illustrates an interesting course. It was born just with the day before from the second world war. At 9 years, his/her uncle offers diatonic a tremor to him "Echo". He plays as an autodidact according to what he hears with the radio. At the time, the harmonica was very in vogue… six years later, it decides to take courses of harmonica, in a store of music, street Versigny in PARIS 18th, which I knew well, but who do not exist alas any more! It is the meeting with its professor Gerard MARGNOUX, Emile MANZANO, Claude the GARDEN, finally, best. On the councils of Gerard, it forms his own trio with two brothers GABY, the "PHILICO' S TRIO". In 1957-1958, it was one of the best trios of Paris, with passages on TV all "Thursdays of LARRY ADLER", then in many concerts. Then the hole, the call under the flags (1960 1962), any more of harmonica, the family life, work, the children… In 1978 it is promoted Professor of Applied art and detached abroad by the Ministry for the Co-operation (the Comoros, during 11 years, the ivory Coast during 7 years). In the Comoros it takes again taste with its instrument, and takes part over there in many demonstrations, in particular for the international organizations, the large hotels, the radio. Always accompanied by four or five Malagasy musicians and Comorians who are appears it very fine in music. Its repertory of the time: variety, jazz, blues, and also of the traditional one.
In 1989 in Abidjan, it meets excellent musicians of jazz, Ghanaians. It will play with them during 7 years all the large standards of jazz. Again concerts in the largest hotels of the Coast-D' Ivory, the emissions TV and radio. 1997: return in France. It gives courses of chromatics and of diato, it takes part in concerts with a group of jazz band, "LAFAYETTE STOMPERS" which always exists. It forms its form groups made up of four musicians, "PIERRE DACQUIN FOUR-BIT BYTE". Again concerts, local radios, and recently on RMC. Knowing the keyboard, it learns synthé and composes itself its accompaniments, engraves its CD on computer (models), to make them realize in studio then. Its software with the computer enables him to compose and print its own partitions as well as the design of its jackets and round CD. With the smile, he says to me that he does all, except the master carried out in professional studio. Its sonorities are remarkable. They point out sometimes those of RICHARD HAYMAN, LEO DIAMOND, BORRAH MINEVITCH, its technique being the study with the idle of recordings of the above mentioned ones. From 2003 to 2006, it produced an emission on a local radio "RADIO-ESPOIR" (104.FM), on Internet, department 47 it acted of an emission which was entitled "MELODY Of HARMONICA", which spent every saturday to 9h30 and 14h15. Who lasted ¼ of hour. Achievements of 103 emissions. It takes part in other emissions "RMC", émisson of Jean-Jacques Bourdin and "RADIO 4, (107.3 FM), "RADIO BUBBLE) 97.5. radio local of the Batch-and- Garonne.
